Kawachi Fuji Garden

Kawachi Fuji Garden in Kitakyushu, Japan is where you will find this pastel-colored fairy tale tunnel. The gardens are home to about 150 wisteria flowering plants spanning 20 different species (white, blue, purple, violet-blue and pink). This is the reason why the wisteria tunnel is so colorful and graceful. You can enter this garden only in the spring and autumn seasons. When wisterias bloom every spring, land transform into fairy-tale scene.

There is a wisteria trellis which is 80 yards and a wisteria tunnel that is 220 yards. The wisteria dome, wisteria trellis and mega wisteria trellis make up a total of 7314 yard squared. Around the garden, there are about 700 maple trees and 18 of those are 70-80 years old.
